天津爆炸已經超過一星期，中國官方媒體，宣稱現場倉庫，存有3千多噸的危險化學品。而當地消防人員，更曾在媒體採訪時，表示有檢出「神經毒氣」，引發高度關注，但隨後相關報導都被撤除，官方更出面否認，更增加民眾的疑慮。

天津爆炸現場，滿目瘡痍，成排的汽車以及建築，都燒到只剩骨架，不只重建之路遙遙無期，危險化學品外洩，更讓民眾憂心。

北京工安學防總隊李興華：「偵測的結果跟昨天幾乎一樣，還是氰化鈉和神經性毒氣，這兩種有毒的氣體，(那它的指標是多少？)，指標達到最高值。」

參與救災的消防人員，在接受中國中央電視台採訪時，語出驚人的表示，現場有檢出高濃度的神經毒氣，吸入過量可能致死，引發各界譁然。但相關報導，卻在隨後遭到刪除，其他媒體以及天津市政府，更矢口否認。

NHK主播：「針對這項消息中國國營的新華社，引用現場指揮救災的專家說法，表示不可能產生神經毒氣，天津市政府也宣稱，目前為止並未檢出神經毒氣。」

到底為何會發生如此大規模的爆炸，新華社根據倉庫業者的訪談，認為是當地儲放的硝酸銨，引發火勢，才延燒到其他區域。爆炸中心，至少有10個貨櫃，擺放超過200噸的硝酸銨，而其他各種危險化學品，目前已知有40多種，共3千多噸。這當中有沒有可能，產生神經毒氣，負責指揮的環保局專家，語帶保留。

中國環保局總工程師包景嶺：「毒氣的這件事，我們要立刻和警方聯繫一下，看是什麼物質，這是我們會負責任來跟他們聯繫。」

即使爆炸已經過去一星期，當地居民仍活在化學毒害的陰影當中。（民視新聞綜合報導）
